■ 个人简介



2012年毕业于南京航空航天大学,获理学学士学位。同年,加入肯特州立大学Mietek  Jaroniec教授课题组攻读博士学位。期间,获研究生全额奖学金、Research  Award等奖励;进行过大量结构设计和湿式化学制备的实验,积累了相当的结构表征和数据分析的经验,作为一作在ChemSusChem、Journal  of Colloid and Interface  Science、Chemical Society  Reviews、Nanoscale、Applied  Surface  Science等期刊发表有论文,并为《Surface  Science of  Photocatalysis》一书贡献了第二章;另外,与同事广泛合作,结果曾被  Chemical & Engineering  News、Science、Fox News、CBS  Sports等新闻媒体报道。2018年12月博士毕业后,在Jaroniec课题组继续从事博士后研究直到2020年2月。2020年5月至2022年7月,在南方科技大学机械与能源工程系韦齐和课题组进行胶体颗粒的活性运动和集体行为的研究,获校长博士后奖金、深圳市孔雀计划、中国博士后基金、国自然青年基金资助;期间,作为通讯作者或合作者在Nano  Research 、Science China  Materials 、Advanced  Materials、Angewandte Chemie  International Edition  等期刊发表有文章;另外担任Science  Advances、ACS Sustainable  Chemistry & Engineering、Biomass  Conversion and  Biorefinery等期刊的审稿人以及Crystals、Frontiers  in  Chemistry的客座编辑。2023年1月加入深圳北理莫斯科大学,任材料科学系副教授。




■ Biography-Short  Description



Dr. Zhang graduated from Nanjing  University of Aeronautics and  Astronautics in 2012 with a  B.Sc. degree in science and then  from Kent State University (KSU)  in 2018 with a PhD degree in  Chemistry. Between December of  2018 and August of 2022, Dr.  Zhang did postdoctoral research  first at KSU and then Southern  University of Science and  Technology (SUSTech). As the  first author, Dr. Zhang has  published in notable journals  including ChemSusChem, Journal  of Colloid and Interface  Science, Chemical Society  Reviews, Nanoscale, Applied  Surface Science, etc. His  collaborations with colleagues  have resulted in not only  publications but also media  coverages (e.g., Chemical &  Engineering News, Science, Fox  News, CBS Sports). At Kent  State, Dr. Zhang also served as  a teaching assistant in General  Chemistry Laboratory classes,  obtaining positive comments from  the students (e.g., “wonderful  TA”, “knowledgeable of the  subject”, “always available”,  “great guy, the best”, etc.) as  well as an article published in  Elsevier’s Education for  Chemical Engineers. At SUSTech,  Dr. Zhang’s work was focused on  the study of the active motion  and collective behavior of  colloids, with the support from  China Postdoctoral Science  Foundation and National Natural  Science Foundation of China. Dr.  Zhang has served as a manuscript  reviewer for Science  Advances, ACS Sustainable  Chemistry & Engineering, Biomass  Conversion and Biorefinery,  among others, and a guest editor  for Crystals and Frontiers in  Chemistry. Dr. Zhang joined  Faculty of Materials Science at  Shenzhen MSU-BIT University as  an associate professor in  January of 2023.

■ 研究领域




□  开发纳米孔材料用作光催化剂,实现产氢、二氧化碳还原、氮气固化;
□ 认识和理解原子、分子界面上的吸附、反应和电荷转移过程;
□ 研究光催化剂在实时工作状态下的理化性能;
□  探索光驱动的微纳马达,用于活物质的研究、物质的定向输送和环境污染物的处理.





■ Research  Interest




Development of nanoporous  materials (e.g., metal oxides,  graphitic carbon nitride, etc.)  as photocatalysts for hydrogen  production, carbon dioxide  reduction, and nitrogen  fixation; exploration of  adsorption processes on  photocatalyts at the atomic and  molecular scales; study of  charge dynamics of  photocatalysts under light  irradiation and mechanisms of  the reactions they facilitate;  study of photocatalysts in  working conditions and real time  using in-situ/operando  characterization techniques;  exploration of micro/nano-motors  powered by light and their  applications for the study of  active matter, mass transport,  treatment of pollutants by  creating temperature or  concentration gradients.
