Introduction

Internationalization is one of the key objectives and features of the Economics Department’s educational programs. Therefore, students are encouraged to actively participate in various types of international cooperation projects during their time at the university, based on their individual circumstances. The university and the Economics Department will continue to work on building international cooperation platforms to promote students' overseas exchange opportunities and enhance their cross-cultural competencies.

Cooperation Programs

Summer Programs

The university has established and signed agreements for summer programs with the University of Bayreuth in Germany, Nantes Business School in France, and Moscow State University. These programs will offer three-week summer schools, primarily focusing on courses related to students' majors and the economic development environment of the host country/region, along with necessary company visits.

According to the plan, the summer school programs in Germany and France are optional and are scheduled to take place during the summer break after the second academic year. Students can choose according to their interests, and upon successful completion of the summer school and passing the required exams or assessments, students will receive 3 credits. The summer school program at Moscow State University is scheduled for the summer after the third academic year. It is a mandatory project, and students who successfully complete it and pass the exams or assessments will also earn 3 credits.

Long-term Exchange Programs

The Economics Department encourages students to participate in long-term exchange programs with overseas partner institutions. Students can take part in long-term exchange programs at the university's partner institutions or other foreign universities. When applying for overseas exchange programs, students need to submit a study plan for their time abroad, including course syllabi for approval. The study plan must be reviewed and approved by the Head of the Economics Department or the program coordinator, and then submitted to the Academic Affairs Office for final approval and filing.

Dual Degree Programs

The Economics Department actively seeks to establish dual degree programs with overseas universities. Currently, discussions have been held with the University of Bayreuth in Germany and the Financial University of Russia to set up dual degree programs. Students may apply voluntarily during their fourth semester. After meeting the requirements of the partner universities and passing the review process, students can study at the partner university for one year. Upon satisfying the credit and graduation requirements, students will be awarded a degree from the partner institution.
