Biography

Dr. Bai is an Associate Professor in the Economics Department at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University. He joined the university in 2021 and obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Business at Uppsala University, Sweden, in 2017. From 2018 to 2020, he conducted postdoctoral research at Uppsala University.


Dr. Bai has long been dedicated to research on international intellectual mobility, the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), entrepreneurship development of high-tech firms in emerging markets, and international strategic management of multinational corporations in emerging markets. He has made significant contributions to explaining how SMEs make internationalization decisions and engage in international activities in uncertain environments. His latest research focuses on SME participation in digital platforms and international innovation and entrepreneurship. Over the past five years, he has published 11 academic papers in high-impact SSCI journals, including several as the first or corresponding author in internationally important journals such as the *Journal of World Business*, *Journal of International Marketing*, and *Industrial Marketing Management*. He serves on the editorial board of the *Journal of Business Research* and is a reviewer for several prominent international journals, including *Journal of Business Venturing*, *Journal of World Business*, and *Global Strategy Journal*.
