Recently, at the ICPC Wuhan Invitational, a team consisting of Zhao Xinyu from the Fintech program (Class of 2023), Wang Sichen from the Mathematics and Applied Mathematics program, and Yang Yixin from the Electronics and Computer Engineering program won a bronze medal.
Since 2022, the Engineering Department of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University has leveraged its Innovation Lab and the Student Innovation Practice Base to organize the "Zhaixing Cup" Programming Contest. This competition-based training approach, coupled with regular skills workshops led by professional teachers and outstanding graduate students from Beijing Institute of Technology, has quickly cultivated a group of "programming enthusiasts." This initiative has gradually fostered a positive ecosystem where theoretical knowledge from professional courses serves as the foundation, programming design as the practical direction, and academic competitions as a pathway to enhancing overall competencies.
The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is one of the world's largest and most prestigious programming competitions for university students. In China, it ranks third on the "National University Discipline Competition Ranking" published by the China Association of Higher Education. The China Collegiate Programming Contest (CCPC), organized annually by the CCPC committee, aims to spark students' interest in learning computer science and skills, encourage them to apply computer knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems, and effectively enhance their abilities in algorithm design, logical reasoning, mathematical modeling, programming implementation, and computer systems. Additionally, it promotes teamwork, a spirit of challenge, and innovation.
