发布时间:2025-12-08

Recently, research findings by an undergraduate team from the Department of Economics at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University were successfully published in *The International Journal of Management Education*, a prestigious SSCI Q1 journal renowned in the field of management education for its rigorous academic standards and exceptional disciplinary influence. This achievement not only signifies international recognition for Shenzhen MSU-BIT students on the global academic stage but also highlights the university’s steady progress in research capacity building and undergraduate education innovation.

The published paper, titled *International Entrepreneurial Intentions: The Mediating Role of Opportunity Recognition and the Moderating Effect of Cultural Intelligence*, was authored by Li Zixin, Ouyang Lu, Chen Yufei, He Ziqian, and Li Xiaotong, with Dr. Muhammad Farrukh from the Department of Economics serving as the advisor. The study explores how international trade education influences students' global entrepreneurial mindset, as well as how opportunity recognition and cultural intelligence jointly shape their willingness to engage in international business activities. The paper’s acceptance by a top-tier international journal fully demonstrates the team’s maturity and rigor in research design, analytical skills, and academic expression.

This research outcome serves as a vivid reflection of the increasingly refined research-education integration system within the Department of Economics. Faculty members adhere to evidence-based teaching principles, guiding students to continuously raise questions, conduct independent inquiries, and actively participate in academic discussions. Through systematic training in research methods, empirical analysis guidance, and academic writing development, students have gradually acquired the capability to produce research at an internationally publishable level.

In recent years, the Department of Economics has actively advanced the internationalization and academicization of undergraduate education, emphasizing the integration of academic depth, methodological rigor, and a global perspective. By encouraging students to engage with cutting-edge fields such as global trade, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, the department fosters independent thinking, logical analysis, and awareness of global issues under sustained academic mentorship, laying a solid foundation for high-quality research output.

The successful publication of undergraduate research underscores the university’s remarkable achievements in nurturing student potential, faculty teaching dedication, and research environment optimization. It also confirms the institution’s ability to cultivate young talent capable of contributing to the international academic community. Moving forward, the university will continue to expand undergraduate research opportunities, deepen faculty-student collaboration, and foster the development of a globally competitive academic community, cultivating more innovative talents with international competence.
