MA YULU, female, Han Chinese, born in September 2002, a Communist Party member, is an undergraduate student in the Economics Department at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, Class of 2020. She previously served as the Class Secretary for the Economics Department, the Organization Committee Member of the Student Party Branch, a peer academic mentor, a member of the Shenzhen MSU-BIT Youth Propaganda Team, and a student assistant at the Training Center. She was also a member of the second Student Union Presidium and the second Student Committee, and a member of the Youth Marxist Association. With academic performance ranking in the top three of her major, she has received six university-level academic scholarships, the CSC National Scholarship for the "International Cooperation Training Program for Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus," and participated in exchange studies at Moscow University. She has won eight competition awards, including the GMC International Enterprise Management Challenge, the American College Student Mathematical Modeling Competition, and the 6th National College Economic Decision Simulation Experiment Competition. She has been recognized as an "Outstanding Communist Youth League Member" for the 2020-2021 academic year, an "Excellent Communist Youth League Cadre" for the 2021-2022 academic year, an "Outstanding Student Model" in 2023, a finalist for the 2023 Shenzhen MSU-BIT University Student of the Year, a third-place winner in the 17th Challenge Cup Red Special Event in Guangdong Province, a university-level nominee for Guangdong Province Student of the Year in 2021, a university-level nominee for "Outstanding Student Leader" in Shenzhen for the 2022-2023 academic year, and a university-level nominee for "Outstanding Communist Youth League Member" in Longgang District for the 2023-2024 academic year.

MA YULU has a firm political stance and solid ideological and political qualities, actively participating in various activities organized by the school’s party and league organizations, showing high enthusiasm in these activities. She understands that as a new generation youth tasked with national rejuvenation, it is crucial to strengthen theoretical learning, integrate personal ideals into the great cause of the party and the people, and solidify one's belief with theoretical armament, striving towards ideals with determination and anchoring oneself to the era’s coordinates. In the 2020-2023 annual league member education evaluations, MA YULU was consistently rated as "Excellent." She upholds the attitude of "to achieve success, one must strive for the difficult and avoid the easy," enriching her thoughts through continuous knowledge absorption. MA YULU participated in the third phase of the "Youth Marxism Project" training program at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, the 2022 Shenzhen "Youth Marxism Project" training program, and the 2023 Guangdong University "Youth Marxism Project" training program. Through district-specific exchange learning activities, online discussions, and social practice exercises, she completed various activities including book notes, research reports, and practice reports, strengthening her ideals and beliefs and enriching her social practice experience.
As a member of the nationally exemplary Shenzhen MSU-BIT Student Party Branch, MA YULU always remembers her identity as a party member, playing a leading and exemplary role, assisting in the development of party members, leading branch members in the study of important meetings and documents from the Party Central Committee, and performing her duties as an organization committee member. Additionally, she actively participates in branch theme party day activities. To deepen the study and implementation of Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, she shared her story of “Doing Good Deeds for Teachers and Students” and co-founded the bilingual online column "Дружба" (Friendship) with branch members. This column features videos on topics of interest to students, such as giant pandas, ice hockey, and "Russia-Guangdong Trade," and has continuously contributed to her personal growth. She has won multiple honors, including "Outstanding Communist Youth League Member" and "Outstanding Communist Youth League Cadre" at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University and has been selected as "Outstanding Communist Youth League Member" in Longgang District for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Enhancing Intelligence through Learning, Exploring in Depth with Conviction
MA YULU has a strong focus on her major. In her academic work, she maintains the attitude that "those who seek ease do not succeed, and those who avoid difficulties do not progress." To better grasp her major courses, she repeatedly studies relevant knowledge points from domestic and international textbooks and discusses them with classmates until all issues are resolved. Adhering to the attitude of "first thickening the book and then thinning it," she consistently ranks in the top 10% of her department and has repeatedly received first-class academic scholarships.

Promoting Learning through Competition
In academic competitions, she has strengthened her knowledge reserves and achieved notable results, including the second prize in the 2023 GMC International Enterprise Management Challenge, the S Award in the American College Student Mathematical Modeling Competition, the first prize in the 6th National College Economic Decision Simulation Experiment Competition, and the first prize in the 4th Guangdong Province College Economics Comprehensive Game Experiment Competition. These experiences have deepened her professional understanding of economics and laid a solid foundation for her future research career.
Empowering Multilingual Abilities
During her university years, MA YULU continuously improved her language skills. She passed the CET-4 and CET-6 exams with scores of over 580 and achieved a 6.5 in her first IELTS exam. Since enrollment, she has overcome the challenges of learning Russian from scratch and used Russian in her major courses. She has successfully obtained Russian language certificates and opened up new worlds for her professional learning. In December 2022, MA YULU received the national scholarship for studying abroad and went to Moscow University for exchange studies. This experience deepened her idealistic conviction, refined her thoughts, and enhanced her self-improvement. This study abroad experience made her realize the openness of her motherland's policies and enabled Chinese youth to integrate more confidently into the world stage. In the future, she will devote herself with greater enthusiasm and determination to the great cause of the "Belt and Road Initiative," contributing her strength and wisdom to deepen China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership.

Advancing through Practical Action
In student work, MA YULU always remembers her responsibilities as a student leader. During her term as the class secretary, she completed the transfer of all league members' organizational relationships within the department, organized recommendation meetings for party activists in the second half of 2020 and the first half of 2021, with over 97% attendance, and ensured fair and open selection results through detailed meeting records. She actively urged classmates to complete youth studies, conveyed the ideological requirements of higher-level league and party organizations in a timely manner, and played a leading role. She organized branch members for League Day activities, with the “Learning Space Spirit” League Day activity being rated as an “Excellent League Day Activity” for the 2020-2021 academic year and “Top 1000” in the Spring Season of 2021’s themed League Day activities, while the “Unity and Struggle of Youth” study on Party history League Day activity was rated as “Top 1000” in the Autumn Season of 2021’s themed League Day activities. Additionally, her branch was recognized as an "Excellent League Branch" for the 2020-2021 academic year at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University.
In September 2020, MA YULU joined the Shenzhen MSU-BIT Student Union, which added significant achievements to her university life. Starting as an ordinary member, she deeply understood and addressed students’ urgent needs. In June 2021, she became the Minister of the Academic and Innovation Department, carrying out various academic activities to strengthen academic atmosphere. She established an online learning resource library, organized multiple “Youth Learning, Senior’s Appointment” sharing sessions to guide younger students on academic issues and career development, conducted "Exam Support Station" activities for CET exams, and prepared "Care Packages" to support exams. To help graduates with employment issues, she created the "Job Waiting for You" column, collecting and summarizing recruitment information to expand channels. In December 2022, she was successfully elected as a member of the Student Union Presidium at the second Student Representative Congress with the highest votes. Upholding the principle of “serving students wholeheartedly,” MA YULU combined the characteristics of China-Russia cooperative schools to safeguard international students' rights. She continuously innovated the Student Union’s work model, organizing and planning numerous activities covering over 1,000 students. Under the guidance and assistance of teachers, the Shenzhen MSU-BIT Student Union was recognized as an "Outstanding Student Union" for the 2022-2023 academic year, an honor that greatly encouraged and affirmed MA YULU, boosting her confidence in dedicating her enthusiasm to student work. In May of the same year, she was recognized as an "Outstanding Communist Youth League Cadre" for the 2021-2022 academic year and nominated as an "Outstanding Student Leader" in Shenzhen.

In the summer of 2021, on the historical occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, MA YULU joined the Beijing Special Social Practice Team organized by her school. They visited red base areas, revisited revolutionary history, and reflected on the Party’s centennial journey. The practice team was rated as an “Outstanding Social Practice Team” for the summer of 2021, marking the beginning of her red research journey.
