Message from Zhang Huangqing, Class of 2017, to the Younger Students of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University

发布时间:2022-11-17

Dear Juniors,

We are used to having a clear goal when putting in effort—a tangible outcome we can achieve through hard work. In high school, that goal might have been getting into a good university. But once we enter university, the vast and unknown world ahead can make us feel as if we've lost our compass, leaving us uncertain.

However, once you begin your job search, it feels like those moments of confusion finally find closure. Right now, you may still have doubts—about economics and Russian, about balancing coursework with practical experience, and about how all of this will play a role in your future. The truth is, real-world opportunities are far more intriguing than anything written in books. The ability to develop international markets, understand economics, and have a global perspective—these small details make you unique and irreplaceable. This is the purpose behind your current studies.

Learning is a way to avoid mediocrity, and when it comes to the competition in the working world, education is what makes you irreplaceable. As you grow, society will gradually place labels on you, defining who you are. So, during this time when you can focus solely on yourself, work harder to shape who you want to become. In the end, your efforts will pay off.

Keep pushing forward.

Huangqing
