Biography
Associate Professor at the Institute of Data Science and Knowledge Engineering, School of Computer Science and Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). She holds a Ph.D. from BIT and completed postdoctoral research in Information Engineering at Karlsruhe University, Germany (November 2006 - November 2008) with a DAAD Scholarship (German Academic Exchange Service). She was also a visiting scholar at Stevens Institute of Technology, USA (January 2015 - June 2016).
Her research focuses on big data analytics, artificial intelligence, blockchain technology, and related fields. She has published over 20 high-level academic papers and holds three patents. Her teaching includes full English-taught courses on big data analytics, software engineering, and information management. With extensive project experience, she has contributed to several key research and development projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
She was a key member of the team behind the 2023 National First-Class Undergraduate Course (online course: Introduction to Big Data Technology). Her accolades include the 2022 Diwen Outstanding Teacher Award, the 2021 Ministry of Education-Huawei "Pillar of Talent" Teacher Award, and major education reform project awards from the Ministry of Education. She has also received the IBM Shared University Research (SUR) Award, IBM Global Faculty Awards (2015, 2017, 2019, 2020), and the IBM-CSC Outstanding Teacher Scholarship from the China Scholarship Council.
She has authored three textbooks and independently developed three MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses): Big Data Analytics (English), Big Data Analytics (Chinese), and Software Theory and Engineering. Additionally, she contributed to the development of the Introduction to Big Data Technology MOOC. Her professional roles include serving as a council member of the German-Austrian Branch of the Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA) and participating in the SAP Academic and Education Committee.
