The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is a significant region for China's regional economic development, with digital economy advancements taking a leading position nationwide. As the central city of the Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen plays a crucial role in the regional development of the digital economy. Building a regional digital economy ecosystem is a key issue for developing the digital economy and participating in global economic cooperation.
As an international cooperative university located in Shenzhen, Shenzhen Beihang Moscow University considers serving national and local regional economic development as a vital mission. Therefore, the university’s Department of Economics plans to establish the Digital Economy and Global Governance Research Center. This center will leverage the research strengths of Shenzhen Beihang Moscow University, Lomonosov Moscow State University, and Beijing Institute of Technology to conduct research and talent development in areas such as the construction of digital economy ecosystems in Belt and Road countries and BRICS nations, digital economy and international economic cooperation, and digital economy and sustainable development. The center aims to promote better cooperation with Belt and Road countries, develop partnerships with BRICS nations, and advance the economic and social development of the Greater Bay Area.
