Students from the Economics Department of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University Win National First Prize in the GMC International Business Management Challenge

Recently, the team "Deep Blue," composed of Yang Jiaxiang, Fu Zhenxi, Li Yuyao, and Zhang Zi'an from the Economics Department of Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, achieved outstanding success in the highly anticipated GMC International Business Management Challenge • China Division. Demonstrating exceptional business strategy and teamwork, the team competed fiercely over four months and five rounds, ultimately standing out among 560 teams nationwide to secure a spot in the top 12. In the national finals held in January this year, they won the first prize, marking the first time Shenzhen MSU-BIT University has reached the finals and claimed the top award since its participation. Additionally, two other teams from the university won national second prizes.

The GMC International Business Management Challenge is a globally renowned business simulation competition designed to test participants' comprehensive abilities in strategic planning, marketing, financial management, production operations, and more through a highly realistic business environment.

The outstanding performance of the "Deep Blue" team in the GMC International Business Management Challenge has brought honor to the university. This achievement not only showcases the strong capabilities of Shenzhen MSU-BIT students on the international business competition stage but also reflects the university and the Economics Department's long-term commitment and investment in talent development and practical education. The university will continue to encourage students to actively participate in various high-level academic competitions, providing them with more platforms to exercise and showcase their abilities, supporting their comprehensive development, and cultivating more outstanding talents with international perspectives and innovative practical skills.

The "Deep Blue" team shared their thoughts on winning: "We are thrilled and honored to represent our university in the GMC Challenge finals and achieve such excellent results. Through this series of competitions, we have gained a deeper understanding of business management. From advertising investment to production arrangements, financial planning to workforce reductions, every aspect is closely interconnected and requires constant deliberation. We are grateful for the support and guidance provided by the university, and we will continue to strive for even greater success in future competitions."
