TAO ZIHAN, female, Han Chinese, born on November 1, 2002, is a member of the Communist Youth League and an undergraduate student in the Economics Department at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, Class of 2020. She has won numerous honors, including the First Prize in the Guangdong Province University Economics Comprehensive Game Theory Competition, the First Prize in the National College Economic Decision Simulation Competition, an S Award in the American College Student Mathematical Modeling Competition, and the Second Prize in the International Business Management Challenge (China Region). She has also consistently received first-class academic scholarships at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University.
Chasing Dreams and Awakening Through Challenges
During her four years of university, TAO ZIHAN’s academic journey was not always smooth. Initially, she faced significant learning pressure and language challenges, resulting in less-than-ideal performance. This period was a major challenge and a time for deep reflection for TAO ZIHAN. However, it also spurred her to explore herself and unleash her inner potential. TAO ZIHAN realized that changing her situation required action. She began to develop a rigorous study plan, actively participated in language training courses, and continually improved herself.

Through persistent study and practice, TAO ZIHAN’s grades improved significantly, placing her among the top of her class and first in her department. Additionally, she successfully passed the College English Test Band 6 and the Russian Test Level 6, demonstrating her multilingual communication skills and unwavering spirit. The academic achievements she attained laid a solid foundation for her future academic research and international exchanges.

TAO ZIHAN’s academic journey extended beyond the classroom, reaching into broader fields through various academic competitions. Through internships at the People's Bank of China Pingyi Branch, the Pingyi County Statistical Bureau, China International Capital Corporation's Investment Banking Division, and the Pingyi County Audit Bureau, she gained valuable industry experience and developed her analytical decision-making skills and teamwork spirit.
Currently, TAO ZIHAN has received an admission offer from the University of Edinburgh and will continue her studies there.
