发布时间:2025-11-05

Ren Zhongyu, female, Han ethnicity, born in November 2002, member of the Communist Youth League, undergraduate student majoring in Economics at the School of Economics, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University (Class of 2021). GPA: 3.93/4.0, recipient of the university-level academic scholarship for four consecutive years, and independently published a research paper on government debt and business innovation at an international conference.

Dedicated to Academics, Building a Solid Foundation

During her university years, Ren Zhongyu achieved an outstanding GPA of 3.93/4.0 and successively earned the university's first, second, and third-class scholarships, as well as the provincial Qihang Scholarship for four consecutive years. She emphasized the integration of theory with practice and independently authored the paper Analyzing the Impact of Local Government Debt on Business Innovation in China, published in the international journal Highlights in Business, Economics and Management. Through comprehensive literature analysis, her paper profoundly reveals the crowding-out effect of local government debt on innovation in non-state-owned enterprises, providing highly valuable insights for optimizing regional financial policies.

Practicing Innovation, Honing Skills

During her internship at Huaxi Securities' Quantitative Research Group, Ren Zhongyu utilized Python to process financial data such as gold ETFs and the CSI 300 Index. She optimized the Markowitz model for portfolio weight calculations, simulated thousands of random strategies to validate model stability, and proposed risk-resistant optimization solutions. While collaborating with Chenguang Institution to develop a multi-factor quantitative model, she constructed 20 highly predictive factor expressions and evaluated their effectiveness through information coefficient (IC) backtesting, contributing to data-driven investment decisions.

Leading her team in the National Economics Comprehensive Experiment Competition, she built a dynamic game model based on the Sino-U.S. "iron ore-steel-automobile" industrial chain data to forecast key indicators like CPI and GDP. At Shenzhen's "Dream Pursuit Cup" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, she designed a business model for AI-powered sports commentary services, proposing an innovative solution balancing market risks and returns. In the university's "Growth Driver" competition, she conducted a feasibility analysis for a sports brand investment project, developing risk control strategies that earned her team third prize.

Serving the Campus, Preserving Culture

As the head of the publicity department of the university's Calligraphy Club, Ren Zhongyu infused traditional culture with vitality through innovative thinking. She assisted in planning over 10 cultural events, independently managed the club's official account, and published original content to promote traditional culture through calligraphy competitions and art exhibitions. As a member of the Young Marxists Association, she helped organize campus forums on current affairs and reading sessions, drafting news articles published on university platforms to amplify youth perspectives.

During the pandemic, she served as a dormitory floor coordinator, overseeing the procurement and distribution of supplies to meet the daily needs of fellow students on her floor. Always eager to help others, she actively assisted classmates academically and personally, while also dedicating her spare time to volunteer work—demonstrating the responsibility of youth through action.

Diverse Passions, Well-Rounded Development

Ren Zhongyu is multitalented and actively participates in campus cultural and sports activities. She has studied calligraphy and sketching since childhood, with her works winning multiple awards. She has performed at university galas, earning praise from teachers and students. In sports, she loves physical activities and exudes vibrant energy, excelling in table tennis, badminton, and swimming. She continuously explores diverse interests, helping her maintain balance in both academics and life.

Upholding Ideals, Advancing with Determination

Ren Zhongyu, who is about to pursue her master's degree at Johns Hopkins University, aspires to "drive innovation in economic governance." She aims to delve into quantitative analysis and policy research, combining academic expertise with practical experience to explore data-driven sustainable development pathways. Committed to contributing to the formulation of financial policies that promote balanced global growth, she seeks to address the demands of the era with her professional capabilities.
