Biography
Hao Yu, male, born in February 1983 in Huangshi, Hubei Province. Bachelor of Physics and Economics, Wuhan University (2005), Master of Economics, Beijing Normal University (2008), PhD in Economics, University of Hamburg, Germany (2012). He is currently working in the Department of Applied Economics, School of Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, as professor, doctoral supervisor, director of the Department of Applied Economics, and chief expert of major projects of National Social Science Foundation.
He won the 2017 Fok Yingdong Education Foundation's 16th Young Teachers Award. Selected in the 2022 "Clarivate" list of Highly cited Scientists, 2020-2023 "Elsevier China's Highly Cited Scholars" list, "World's Top 2% of Top Scientists" list and the world's Top 100,000 scientists list, Awarded Best Paper in Energy Economics (2021), H-index 75. He is also a research fellow at the Institute of Economics and Management of the International (Macau) Academic Academy, an advisor to the ASEAN-East Asian Economic Research Institute (ERIA), and an executive director of the Energy Economy and Management Research Branch of the Chinese Society of Advanced Selection Law and Economic Mathematics. Editor-in-chief of academic journals Journal of Economic Analysis and Universal Journal of Financial Economics, editor of Innovation and Green Development, and editor of Special Issue of Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Journal of Environmental Planning and Management, More than 100 well-known academic journals, such as editorial board of Sustainable Development journals, Energy Economics, Ecological Economics, etc. were reviewed anonymously.
He teaches advanced macroeconomics, management economics, applied statistics, Macroeconomics (all in English) and other courses. He was awarded as the excellent instructor of Excellent Undergraduate graduation design (thesis) of Beijing Universities in 2019. He guided a number of undergraduate teams to complete national and Beijing level college student innovation training projects, and was awarded the "Top Ten Excellent College Student Innovation Training Projects" of Beijing Institute of Technology in 2016 and 2018. At present, his main research directions are macroeconomics, energy economy, environmental policy, etc., and he has presided over 11 national and provincial longitudinal research projects, including major projects of the National Social Science Foundation, International Cooperation (Germany) Project of the National Natural Science Foundation, and surface projects of the National Natural Science Foundation. Published to date in Journal of Business Ethics, Environmental and Resource Economics, The Energy Journal, Ecological Economics, Energy Economics, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Journal of Environmental Management, More than 100 high-level academic papers have been published in Chinese soft science and other well-known academic journals at home and abroad, including 165 SCI/SSCI papers published as first author/corresponding author (including acceptance), including 42 journal papers listed as 3 stars or above in AJG/ABS star journals, 92 journal papers listed as 2 stars or above, and 52 ESI highly cited papers (top 1%). He has published 24 hot papers (top 0.1%) and 3 academic monographs (1 book only).
